நெகிழச் செய்த குழந்தைகளின் பிரார்த்தனை
ஊனமுற்ற குழந்தைகள் உலக அமைதிக்காகவும், இலங்கை தமிழர் துயர் தீரவும் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தனர். அனைத்து குழந்தைகளும் தங்கள் உணவை உண்ணும் முன், கோரசாக Happy Birthday to Rajini uncle என்று பாடியது நெஞ்சை நெகிழச் செய்தது. நிச்சயம் இந்த குழந்தைகளின் பிரார்த்தனை பலனளிக்கும் என்று நம்பலாம்.
அன்னதானத்திற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை எல்.ஐ.சி. யூனிட்டின் தலைவர் ஸ்ரீதர் செய்திருந்தார். முன்னதாக ஸ்ரீதர் தலைமையில் மன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு உணவு பரிமாறினர்.
கோவில்களில் விஷேஷ வழிபாடு, அர்ச்சனை
மறுநாள் காலை சென்னை அயனாவரத்தில் உள்ள ராகவேந்திரர் கோவிலில் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரின் பெயரில் விஷேஷ அர்ச்சனை செய்யப்பட்டது.
மதியம் காளிகாம்பாள் ஆலயத்தில் அம்பாளுக்கு உலக அமைதி வேண்டியும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரின் நலன் வேண்டியும் சிறப்பு அர்ச்சனைகளும் ஆராதனைகளும் செய்யப்பட்டது.
மேற்கண்ட நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் எல்.ஐ.சி. யூனிட் உறுப்பினர்கள் ராஜாராம், செல்வம், சார்லஸ், நோபிள் அலெக்ஸ், நெல்சன், ஆட்டோ மாலிக், மாத்யூ, மணிகண்டன், மணிவண்ணன், சுரேஷ், செல்வராஜ், சந்திரன், அரசு, கேச்வன், சேலம் குமாரவேல், உள்ளிட்ட பலர் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.

Chennai: December 12 is southern cinema superstar Rajinikanth's birthday.
On Friday fans step out with much fervour to mark his 58th birthday.
However, this time the celebrations have been simple and subdued because of the Sri lankan Tamil controversy and the Mumbai terror attacks.
Instead of bursting crackers and worshipping the superstar's cutouts by breaking coconuts and pouring milk, fans offered their prayers in temples and distributed food amongst the poor.
Rajinikanth fan P Sridhar says, "We wanted to remember this day. So we decided to help the poor by feeding them and conducted poojas in temples and kept the celebrations very simple."
The celebrations were low key in tune to Rajinikanth's request to his fans to refrain following the terror attacks on Mumbai and in reaction to what is happening to the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
However, his fans are hoping that Rajnikanth would give them other reasons to celebrate.
Fan Abdul Malik says, "We believe this year is going to be very important for him. We are all waiting for an important announcement from him about entering politics. So we are all praying for that."
The crackers and colours may have been missing but the excitement still remained the same.
Rajini's loyal fans found a noble and silent way of celebrating their idol's birthday even if the superstar wasn't in the mood.
