The latest i heard is the probable release date would be 31st of this month. The auspicious Aadi Aamavasyai starts on this day though in calendar it is marked as Aug 1.
Meanwhile some website sources claim that since the CG works is going on and as it takes time, the release date may be further moved to one week from Aug 1 or even it may go to Aug 15.
And some malicious websites reported that Superstar considers Aug as unlucky because of Baba fiasco and so he has been urging producers not to hold a Aug release. There is no truth in this.
Just like you and me
Superstar knows that a movie's release date is purely a director's task and only the concerned producer should take care of that. Moreover he is not pressurizing the director or his team on his release date. Just like you and me, he too eagerly enquires about the release date and nothing more than that.
Superstar is meant for breaking sentiments
This August jinx sentiment is a story that has been woven by some jobless websites. So, don't believe that. Rajini sir is meant for breaking sentiments and not bending down to them. I can quote lots of such in Superstar's life. And we have many hit movies too in August. Don't worry. Just keep in mind that it is not the release date that ensures a movie's success - only its packaging. Just because to release in July would we like to have the feast in an incomplete form?
Moro ever, this final minute touches and corrections are very important for a film. So, please leave P Vasu to do that peacefully.

Some other sources say that the film is ready and financial dealing of Saimira with Kavithalaya makes the delay because of some legal formalities
Once the release date is confirmed officially and ultimately, I will be the first to tell you that. So, keep cool. Enjoy other updates. God is with us.
Note: Releasing in Aadi Amavasyai is a producing and distributing circle's wish and don't pull Superstar in that.
