Kuselan audio sales - First information report!

Friends, Kuselan audio has been lapped up by our fans all over the state and it is selling like a hot cake. As usual, the album is a super hit and critics too acclaim it. (refer to earlier post with rediff's review on music)

On Thursday (03/07/08) Big Music has given ads in papers quoting record sales in 24 hrs of the launch. (see the ad below from today Indian Express)

Like Sivaji, fans gave a warm welcome to Kuselan audio too in early morning in many parts of the city & district capitals. Not exaggeration. Just refer to the following newspaper report.

Much awaited Kuselan audio was released yesterday in Chennai in a grand function. Retailers from all over the state have booked thousands of cassettes and Cds with whole sale dealers in the capital. Many shops reported heavy rush and demand for the cassettes and CDs and within a few hours they were sold out.

Small traders purchased lots of cassettes and CDs from Richie Street dealers in bulk quantities.

Kuselan audio release function was held by fans at Salem Shanthi theatre. Rajini's banner was garlanded and crackers were burst and sweets were distributed by fans.

Fans shouted, "Varungaala mudhalvarae," "Yezhaigalain thozharae,' "Vaarungal Vaarungal arasiyalukku vaarungal" etc.

Salem district fan clubs president Palanivelu told media persons that Sivaji created a record in Salem and Kuselan is expected to break that. Fans also distributed sweets to bus passengers in new bus stand and special pooja was performed in Raja Ganapathi temple for the movie's success.

Note: Richie street sales news & Madurai fans performing aarathi photo (see the newspaper scanning) was contributed by our blog to the newspaper. A complete gallery on Madurai and Chennai audio release dhamakka is on the way and will be uploaded by Thursday afternoon with the help of a browsing centre near my workplace.

ERRATA: Bahadur was absent Sincere apology for the mistake!

Friends, in Kuselan audio launch spot report - i have reported that Raj Bahadur attended the event and exclaimed "Thalaivaaaaaaaaa."

But one of my friend who attended the event told me today that Bahadur didn't turn up to the event and all other friends were there. I was shocked since I included Bahadur part because my another friend who was sitting in the next row to them said me so.

When i spoke to him to get clarification i understood that he mistook Vittal Prasad (Valli fame) as Bahadur.

They say because of some personal reasons Raj Bahadur was unable to attend the event. But other friends of Superstar including Murali Prasad, Vittal Prasad, Ashok, Nataraj and Sudhakar attended the event and the each and every minutes.

My sincere apology for the mistake. Hope you won't mind it. Now i have changed the heading of that post.
