As I assured earlier, I went Sunday morning to Abirami Mega Mall to cover the display banner of Kuselan in day light in various angles.
Guess what now only I was able to see its total length. It is a very lonnnng banner.
I could able to catch the full angle in my camera only when I went to the opposite complex’s third floor. (Check the last pic)
Since it was Sunday, the traffic was moderate and I was able to shoot without any traffic or vehicle disturbance.
Only irritation was ‘Uliyin Osai’ banner which hid one third of Keselan banner and spoiled the total elevation. Without that Kaakkaa banner, the total view would have been marvelous.
Security persons - Thalaivar fans
While shooting the pictures the security persons who were at the duty there requested me take them a snap before the banner and said that they are thalaivar fans. I agreed immediately with glad and took a snap. (Check that image herewith in the gallery.)
College girls’ craze
The guards told that many persons were shooting these images in cameras and mobiles for the past few days and particularly lots of college girls were taking snaps from their mobile. They affirmed that they were stunned to see the response for just a banner itself. And they added that their duty would become terrible once reservation starts since the flow of vehicles would be several times more than that of present.
Shop owners waiting for Kuselan
After bidding bye to them and thanking them for co-operation, I just went aside a tea stall near the theatre. While having tea, I just had a casual chat with the shop owner. He said that he never saw a crowd similar to Sivaji ever since he opened his shop few years back. And he revealed that his sales gone several times up and so as other shops in that road and lane during Sivaji. He said that they are eagerly waiting for our Kuselan.
Chennai gearing up
And Pyramid Saimira is holding talks with many theatres in Chennai. So far Sangam, Santhi, Abirami were confirmed.
The movie is expected to hit screens in other theatres including Udhayam, Kamala, Devi Karumari, Rohini, Inox, Mayajaal, Sathyam, Brinda and Bharath.
Cost of Kuselan
The rate of film box is fixed at 75% of Sivaji’s cost. If Sivaji was sold for 50 lakhs for a theatre then Kuselan would be 37.5 lakhs. All of the theatres which screened Sivaji are competing heavily to screen Kuselan at any cost. And they are in the spree of hiking the rate.
Stay tuned for more….
