As a pride for Tamil Nadu, Superstar was able to garner 30th position in this survey as a new entrant.

Apart from Superstar, other Tamilians including Abdul Kalam (25), Maestro AR Rahman (23), Grand master Viswanathan Anand (29), P Chidambaram (14) and F1 racer Narain Karthikeyan (50) too found their place in this survery in respective positions marked in brackets.

Tamil cinema market which was unseen by English media or Norther Magazines has now grabbed the attention post Sivaji and its phenomenal success.
The entire credit goes to one and only Superstar.
This year he is just a new entrant. Hope next year he will climb to a considerable position in this survery.
Mode of survery
The survey was conducted using various methodologies by ICMR (The Indian council for Marketing Research and 4Ps B & M edit team.
Parameters applied to select the contenders’ list include: Visibility in media over the last year, leadership qualities displayed, positive action taken by the personality in their respective domain for the last one year.
To arrive the final list with ranks a close-ended questionnaire was circulated to 1,012 respondents across five metros of the country including Chennai using random sampling technique.
The questionnaire asked the respondents to rate the contenders on the below key parameters:
- Media prominence
- Power to influence
- Personal charisma
