Vembanad lake, the present shooting of Kuselan is meant for the visual appeal with exotic sceneries with back waters. A duet with Rajini and Nayan in a boat house which was beautifully decorated, is being shot in the current schedule.Fans in euphoric mood
Initially the natives are not aware that it is Kuselan shooting. Once they saw Superstar they understood it is Kuselan shoot and the news spread like wild fire. Thousands of fans started gathering in the spot and they shouted "Thalaivaaa" when Superstar came to the spot. The legend, waived hands to them and also wished them in return. Fans went to euphoric mood on seeing this. After that shooting of the song sequence started in the boat. Whenever Superstar saw the crowd, he didn't fail to wish and cheer us. Due to tight security we couldn't go much closer. Apart from fans many natives and tourists too joined them and enjoyed the shoot.
Doubled crowd
Fans who are not aware of this cursed themselves for missing this. Yesterday the second day of the shoot, it is reported the crowd almost doubled. And in coming days it is expected to go multifold. Fans from the borders of Kerala and from the districts of Kanyakumari, Theni and Kovai already started to Vembanad in groups and groups in separate buses, vans and cabs. The shooting crew had tough time to control the continous thronging of crowd. Apart from controlling the crowd, the crew found it difficult to protect them from shooting photos from mobiles and cameras. Reporters and press persons from various media houses too thronged the place to gather news and the spot had never been look like this and this was something new to the natives. There was a heavy demand for lengthy boat (vallam) and they charged double rent making use of this scenario.
Splendid business for local traders
Local traders and shop owners and boat owners were very happy as they are having a splendid business and praying that the shoot should continue for few more days. It is reported that the film shooting has brought some supplementary income to these people where the agriculture and fishery facing a crisis.

VIPs galore to meet Superstar
Local daily Manorama today said that prominent personalities from Kerala filmdom including Srinivasan, Dileep, Fazil and others met Superstar at the his place of stay and exchanged pleasantries. Tamil actor Napolean too met the icon.

Yesterday, while the shoot was going on Srinivasan the actor who played Barber in original Kuselan, came with his family to meet Superstar. Superstar on seeing him, hurried towards him and received him and they hugged each other for a while. The unit people reminded of the climax scene and suddenly all gave a loud applause. Srinivasan introduced his family to the legend. Thalaivar had a chat with them for a while and later he took them to his hotel in a boat (Hotel Lakepalace, Vembanad - see the above pic). The hotel can be reached only through a boat since it is surrounded by water on all sides.
Later at the dawn, VIPs from Mollywood thronged to meet Superstar with their family and took photos. It is said that it was long time wish for those VIP families to take a snap with Superstar. (Friends, note this!!). Kunjacko with his wife, (son of famous producer Appachan) met Superstar in the hotel and took photo with him. Superintendent of Polics for Allepey district Nagarajan too met the icon at his rest place and took snap with him. (Koduthu vechavar!)
It seems that the present schedule of shoot will conclude tomorrow.

Relaxed, jovial and down to earth, Rajani was among his colleagues on the sets. Rajani arrived on Saturday evening for a four-day shooting schedule. He acted in the song sequence featuring him as a film star dancing with artistes on a houseboat.Leading south Indian heroines Nayanthara and Meena and upcoming actor Mamtha are also in the movie. The megastar reached in time on the sets arranged on the banks of Punnamada lake on Sunday morning though he went to bed late on Saturday night after watching the IPL semifinals.
"He was bowled over by the beauty of the lake, while enjoying the taste varieties of Alappuzha like Karimeen pollichathu," production executive of the movie A Kabeer said. Cameraman of the movie Aravind Krishna suffered a slight injury on his leg during the shooting and he was taken to the Alappuzha MCH for treatment.
According to director Vasu, unlike Mammotty, who played a guest role in Kathaparyumbol, Rajani plays the role of a fulltime character as the story revolves around him.
