Paralysed for a moment
Rajinifans who were there, were shocked and became paralysed for a moment. Other fans those who were not there but watching in television at their homes and lakhs of common people who were hooked before the tv sets too were get offended by his speech.
Radhravi started and Sathyaraj concluded
It was all Radharavi who started this. When Superstar entered the stage, there was thundering applause which made the Vaitherichal parties there to fume. It took some time for the whistles to settle down. Immediately Radharavi plucked the mike and said that this is not a place to whistle or clap. (If it happens to his party leader Jayalalitha, will he say this?)
Why Vijayakumar sung praises on Superstar there?
Most of the speakers who spoke there at the stage, kept on telling "Superstar is from Karnataka", "he is a Kannadiga", "thanks to Supertstar being there despite his Kannada origin" etc.etc., This hurted Superstar very much. He didn't show that in his face. But his heart felt very much to hear that since he has declared in many meetings and films that he is Tamilian. Vijayakumar who is a close friend of Superstar understood his friend's pain. So, he used his speech as an opportunity to soothe his friend. He wondered why there are addressing Superstar as Kannadiga who is with them in Tamil Nadu for 35 years. So. there is nothing wrong in Vijayakumar's speech though it may be out of context some times.
If that is right, this is also right
Sathyaraj whenever attends any function speaks about MGR and sings praises on him - irrespective of that function's aim. So, what wrong in Vijayakumar's speech? Even in this function Sathyaraj showered praises on MGR. If that is right, this s also right.

For Superstar, both brickbats and kudos are same
Even if you take in the sense that Vijayakumar's speech is wrong and he should not have sung praises on Superstar in this diaz, Sathyaraj should have pointed out that decently. And there's lots of way to point out that. If he points out in a right way, even Superstar would agree that - as he never likes any one singing his praise. For Superstar, both brickbats and kudos are same. But Sathyaraj used the opportunity to show his 'vaitherichal' rather than pointing out the hunger strike's aim. Later at the end of the day, I heard that even common public and thaikulam's didn't like the way that he spoke.
What happened to fans?
I have been receiving continuous calls from my friends all over, expressing their anger towards Sathyraj and asked me how he managed to slip away from that place after speaking like that in front of Superstar. They felt at least our fans who were there should have shown their protest during the speech itself or while he was leaving the venue.
Fans' response? It's Old story
I said, "It is all old story. Our fans have turned apathetic (inert), ever since we lost our battle with Ramadoss. So, you couldn't expect any reaction, rather than listening to it and fuming with ourselves - even from me."
I am not in a thought that fans should indulge in violence. Then what's the difference between us and some anti-social elements here? I thought that some fans would protest in a non-violent way. Many wondered what happened to Madurai fans who always show oppose through posters. If the same happened ten years ago, we could not imagine what would have happened. Since there was not any reaction, i came to conclusion that fans are still inactive and they could not turn again active and that it is impossible.

But, thanks to Sathyaraj for making them active again after years. Sivagangai and Virudhunagar fans have burnt Sathyraj effigy yesterday and shown their oppose. (Check the news paper scanning) And we should again thank Sathyaraj for making thalaivar to burst out like that. If he wasn't there we would have missed such a violent speech from thalaivar which has shown his another side to us (Aaravadhu mugham). What a ferocious speech...i still spell bound by his speech.
Cong man serves legal notice to Sathyaraj
Meanwhile, a Congress person has issued a legal notice to Sathyaraj asking apology for his vulgar speech in the diaz before thousands of people.
Note1: Sathyaraj may become a hero among Vaitherichal parties and gain fame. What's the use of becoming hero among them? He has turned Villain among public and thaaikulams.
