The Tamil roots of Superstar

Do you know the aspect which is common for all Tamil magazines?

You can always see a Rajini related series (thodar) in any magazine at a given time. Rajini series act as a booster of sales for these magazines.

Just now SP Muthuraman finished his series on Superstar in Kalki magazine. Now Rani (Thanthi Group) has started a series. Unlike Kalki series, which was bit boring this new series from Rani seems to be quite good and interesting.

A roaring start
The first issue of the series has the market by 27th of this month and it didn’t disappoint the buyers. It’s indeed a thundering start as said in posters and promos.

In the first week, they have covered about Superstar’s speech at Raghavendra Mandapam inauguration where he revealed that his parents belong to Tamil Nadu alone. His father Ranoji Rao Gaekwad was born in Krishnagiri and his mother Ram Bai was born in Naachikuppam in Dharmapuri district. Ranoji Rao migrated to Bangalore when he got a police constable job there. This is known to most of the fans.

What a surprise fact I read in the magazine is Superstar’s dearest friend Raj Bahadur too is a Tamilian.

This week series contained the complete transcript of Superstar at the above mentioned occasion where he revealed about his roots in Tamil Nadu. The article concluded with Superstar’s speech condemning linguistic craze of Kannadigas in Golden Jubilee celebrations of Karnataka Cinema where he was one of the Chief Guests along with Rajkumar and ace director Santha Ram.

I recommend friends who are residing in Tamil Nadu can buy the magazine. It’s surely a treasure to be secured. The magazine hits the stands each Tuesday. The first issue is in stands now.

For others who are out of Tamil Nadu: If I come across anything interesting in the series, which surely need to be shared with you, I will brief that.
